Poster Design – Safety Poster

This was a little more recent poster design I made for a safety milestone of 5 months. I’m a big fan of the old school labels and logos and have decided that I want to start emulating those designs a bit more. Since I wasn’t sure where to start I began researching the more classic fonts and labels. What I found interesting is that much of the older labels really weren’t all that complex, but rather, designers from this era are making them more complex. I have a feeling that this is due to the fact that our brains are seeing and experiencing things at a much more heightened level and thus need to be shown designs that can keep up with the need to be nearly overwhelmed with information at every turn of a page or glance into a magazine.
